Its Cake Wednesday!

So last night I had my last class for Wilton Cake Design Basics.  I even got a certificate (which I plan on proudly displaying next to my law degree and bar admission certificate.... okay not really).  We learned how to make ribbon roses.  Mine did not look like they were made of ribbon, but they did somewhat resemble roses.  So that was good.  Here is the cake.  It is devils food cake with pastry cream filling and buttercream icing.

So that is it.  This is my final project in this class.  I think I am going to sign up for the next one, so there will be more cakes to post.  But for now Cake Wednesday is dead.  So slice it up and chow it down.  Get ready for Cake Wednesday to turn into Cake Fridays.
